tl;dr – Hilton’s luxury brand continues its growth in Europe, this time on Spain’s Mediterranean coast.

Hilton recently announced an exciting new luxury project in Marbella, Spain – the Waldorf Astoria Marbella. Marbella is located in Spain’s Malaga province, not too far away from the Straight of Gibraltar. Perhaps avid Waldorf Astoria fans can double dip and check this property as well as the imminent Waldorf Astoria Rabat Sale out in a few years.

Scheduled for a 2029 debut, the property will include 120 guest rooms and 120 branded residences. It appears that this project won’t be a new build but instead a transformation of the existing Marbella Golf Resort. Hilton has partnered with a local Spanish development company – Higuerón Developments. In a press release on Marbella Golf Resort’s website, the new resort is referred to as the Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort, so perhaps when the property comes to market, it’ll actually be the “Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort, a Waldorf Astoria Resort.” We shall see. Here’s a look at the existing property from Marbella Golf Resort’s photo gallery.

As far as amenities go, guests can enjoy Indoor and outdoor pools, two restaurants, a lobby bar, pool bar, spa with four treatment rooms, fitness centre, meeting spaces and access to a championship golf course re-designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr (his father, Sr., designed the original course in 1994).

There will, of course, be the iconic Peacock Alley and the Waldorf Astoria’s Personal Concierge.

Higuerón isn’t messing around as the firm dropped a teaser video featuring guests enjoying that elite service right on the golf course.

Elsewhere in Europe, Hilton opened the Waldorf Astoria Helsinki earlier this year.
