Tl;dr – Hilton’s flagship luxury brand will join the roster of high-end hotels in the Nusa Dua enclave.

Does Bali have the strongest lineup of luxury hotels for any given locality in the World? Maybe so. Either way, it’s about to get stronger. Hilton just announced its plans to open the Waldorf Astoria Bali in 2027. Let’s dive in.

The Waldorf Astoria Bali

Located on the more serene Sawangan Beach, the Waldorf Astoria Bali will serve as a retreat from the more tourist-heavy regions of Bali. The resort will feature a total of 139 rooms, split across 71 expansive villas and 68 guest suites.

Guests can expect several dining outlets, including the signature Peacock Alley, which is a part of all Waldorf Astoria locations. That said, the centerpiece of the food situation will undoubtedly be The Ledge by Dave Pynt. Pynt is known for Burnt Ends, his Michelin-starred restaurant in Singapore, which has been featured on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list over the years. This would be an extension of The Ledge concept, as Pynt already partners with the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi for a restaurant of the same name.

Other amenities will include “traditional Balinese wellness rituals, a state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pools that overlook the Indian Ocean,” and a kids’ club to help keep youngsters entertained.

The lineup of existing luxury hotels in Bali also includes both a Conrad and an outpost from LXR Hotels and Resorts, meaning that when the Waldorf Astoria comes to market in 2027, Hilton will have all three of its leading luxury brands featured in the uber-popular beach destination.
