tl;dr – Marriott’s 37th brand will debut in five cities across the United States.
Earlier this year, Marriott announced the development of a new brand of hotels – its 37th – titled Series by Marriott. We now have an update on the rollout of this new brand, as Marriott (in partnership with Hawkins Way Capital) will introduce five Series hotels in the following cities: Miami, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Chicago, and San Diego. The plan is to convert five existing Found Hotels – one in each city – to a Series by Marriott location.

Series by Marriott is yet another soft brand. It’s distinguished by its focus on midscale and upscale lodging segments, featuring strong, regionally relevant hotels and brands. Hotel operators and owners who join the Series portfolio benefit from maintaining their independent identity while benefiting from Marriott’s Bonvoy loyalty program and booking platforms.
The properties are expected to transition over to Marriott over the course of the next year, but there are no firm dates. In fact, the Series by Marriott brand isn’t yet reflected on Marriott’s website, but I’ll be sure to circle back with updates on availability, including cash and points rates, as things materialize.
