Tl;dr – A quick look at Gravity Haus.
A while back I compiled a list of nature focused accommodations – hybrid lodging options that combine the convenience of a hotel and a proximity to popular outdoorsy destinations. On that list was Gravity Haus. I’ve never stayed at a Gravity Haus property but the company has a quirky membership club option as part of its offerings, so I figured it was worthwhile to do a super brief profile on it.

Gravity Haus is billed as an outdoor lifestyle hotel and membership club that provides lodging, dining, and amenities for adventurers. The company has several locations in outdoorsy locations, many of which are close to prominent state or national parks. Gravity Haus’s currenty locations are in Big Sky, Breckenridge, Denver, Jackson Hole, Moab
Steamboat, Truckee-Tahoe, Vail, Winter Park.

At each Gravity Haus location you’ll find rooms of course, but also community focused amenities like co-working spaces, fitness facilities, and on-site gear rentals for activities like skiing, biking, and paddleboarding.

One unique aspect of Gravity Haus’s model is its membership club. Members can access exclusive benefits such as “unlimited access to premier wellness and fitness facilities, recovery and relaxation amenities, curated experiences, and preferred pricing on hotel bookings and dining.”

Here’s what membership pricing looks like:

Additionally, day passes are also available for non-members/non-guests to enjoy the facilities.
In recent years, we’ve seen several of the bigger hotel chains – Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Best Western – all make major moves to get a piece of the hybrid-nature-focused-accommodations pie. It’ll be interesting to see if Gravity Haus continues to expand, attempts to pursue any partnerships with larger players, and how fruitful its quasi-membership model proves to be going forwards.
