Tl;dr – Ritz-Carlton will launch its third luxury yacht, Luminara, on its debut voyage beginning in Monte Carlo.
Let me get this out of the way. I don’t do cruises. Despite being a big fan of the ocean, traveling, and seeing new places, cruises aren’t my jam. And that extends to luxury cruises as well. Nevertheless, I did want to cover the latest from the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection; the company will launch its third boat this July. “Luminara,” meaning “light” in Latin, will join Evrima and Ilma to round out the company’s fleet. Luminara’s maiden voyage will take cruisers from Monte Carlo, Monaco, to Rome, Italy.

The boat features 226 suites, consisting of eight different styles at different price ranges.

Luminara is capable of accommodating 452 guests.

In addition to private dining and in-room dining options, cruisers can choose from six other dining outlets, two of which were crafted in partnership with chefs Michael Mina and Fabio Trabocchi.

The 242-meter (794-foot) Luminara features two pools, the Ritz-Carlton spa, a fitness studio, a humidor, and a Ritz Kids club.

If you like to do your best splurgin’ while you’re crusin’, then you can peruse retail outlets like Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, and Piaget. The Boutique, a clothing, jewelry, and accessories-focused outlet, will carry products from designers such as Lululemon, Ileana Makri, Lauren Rubinski, Sydney Evan, 64 Facets, Hermès Birkins, Kellys, Stella McCartney, Olympia Le-Tan, Johanna Ortiz, and Orlebar Brown, as well as Milan-based La DoubleJ.

Pricing varies by room type, date, route, and duration and can range from $5,200 to $14,900 per person, based on double occupancy.
Luminara will be a well-traveled boat in the future, with itineraries planned for Alaska and Asia.
