Tl;dr – Bilt’s June Rent Day presents a savvy opportunity to move Bilt Rewards to Iberia (Avios), Velocity, and Air France / KLM via Accor.
Though I’ve been a bit bearish on Bilt in the past, I have to admit the company has been dropping some fairly strong ‘points and miles’ mixtapes lately. Bilt recently added JAL, Qatar, and Southwest as transfer partners, and now the company’s latest Rent Day promotion has the potential to be a throwback to those ‘VC-money-is-flowing-it’s-time-for-growth-at-all-costs days’ (albeit indirectly). Let’s dive in.
How to Maximize Bilt’s June 2025 Rent Day Promotion
Bilt recently announced its June Rent Day Promotion and the pay-your-rent-or-hoa-via-credit-card company is offering up to a 200% transfer bonus to Accor. Rent Day is typically the first day of each month (in this case June 1st, 2025) but there’s talk that this promotion will be active though the end of June 2nd, 2025 (you’ll want to double check that when it drops). First, I want to point out that this is a tiered bonus, with the bonus percentage increasing alongside Bilt status. As a lowly Bilt Blue member, I’m eligible for just a 50% transfer bonus. Bilt Gold and Platinum members receive a 200% bonus.
Accor isn’t typically the first hotel loyalty program most points and miles enthusiasts gravitate to, though the chain does have some marquee brands in tow – including Banyan Tree, Raffles, the one existing Orient Express hotel, Fairmont, and Sofitel. I recently stayed at the Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo – Panama City (review forthcoming) and really enjoyed the property.

Thus, there’s definitely value in Accor’s loyalty program, and if you have a stash of Bilt Rewards, you can likely redeem them for a pretty plush stay.
That said, there’s a potential gangbuster use of this transfer bonus, which involves…more transferring. View From the Wing pointed out that you can transfer Accor points to Air France/KLM at a 1:1 ratio, meaning that this rent day promotion is essentially an indirect 200% transfer bonus to Air France/KLM at quite a strong rate.

There’s a whole host of great redemptions capable with Air France/KLM miles, such as:
Air France recently debuted a its new La Première first class product, and if you’re an Air France Platinum, it’s bookable on points. This transfer bonus is a FANTASTIC opportunity to half the amount of points you’ll need to fly what many folks consider to be the best first-class experience in the sky.
For as little as 70,000 Flying Blue Miles you can fly all the way from Bangkok to Amsterdam or Paris in business class onboard KLM or Air France

A popular option that won’t take you to Paris or Amsterdam but will allow you to head French Polynesia in style is Air France’s business class service from Los Angeles (LAX) to Papeete (PPT). For as little as 77,000 Flying Blue Miles, you lay flat while you head to Tahiti.

Accor also transfers to Iberia at a 1:1 ratio, meaning that this is also an indirect 200% transfer bonus to Iberia and all Avios programs since you can freely move Avios from one member airline’s loyalty account to another.

As a reminder, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, British Airways Executive Club, Aer Lingus AerClub, and Finnair Plus all use the Avios currency alongside Iberia.
Just a handful of fun Avios redemptions include:
For as little as 70,000 Avios, you can fly to Doha in Qatar Airways business class.

Recent Qatar partnerships with JetBlue mean that JetBlue’s Mint business class is available on transatlantic routes for as little as 78,000 Avios.

And wait! There’s…

Finally, there’s Virgin Australia’s Velocity which also has a 1:1 transfer relationship with Accor.

For folks outside Oceania – Virgin Australia’s frequent flyer program, Velocity, now has specific geographic restrictions on membership (implemented in June of 2024), so if you’re based elsewhere and looking to take advantage of this transfer bonus, this one might be a bit tricky (though not impossible).

My favorite use of Velocity miles is to book ANA awards. Velocity Frequent Flyer typically has strong availability for premium cabin seating on the Japanese carrier and it flies (sorry) way under the radar. I mentioned TWO cult first class products, right? Well Velocity is great for ANA First class redemptions. If you don’t believe me, Seats.aero has my back:

As a reminder, the bonus is tiered, so if you’re in the 200% group and have a healthy amount of Bilt Rewards, you may want to seriously consider this opportunity to transfer at least some of them to Iberia or Air France.
Get after it.
