Tl;dr – The luxury focus wellness brand has 30 planned or in-progress properties due to market by 2030.
Earlier, I wrote about two interesting upcoming Six Senses properties, the Six Senses South Carolina Islands and the Six Senses RiverStone Estate, the latter of which was a surprise to see. It’s great to see IHG investing in what is arguably its top-tier luxury brand, and upon closer examination, it’s astonishing just how significant an investment this truly is. IHG will more than double its Six Senses portfolio by 2030. Currently, there are 26 Six Senses properties around the world, with another 30 expected within the next five years. Though IHG’s acquisition of Six Senses closed in 2019, not all Six Senses resorts participate in IHG’s Rewards One loyalty program. Perhaps we’ll see movement to align these luxury resorts with the chains’ loyalty program as part of this growth initiative.
Many of these openings are in super-exciting and/or underserved locations. Europe leads the way with thirteen, including three in Italy alone, followed by eight in the Americas, seven in the Middle East and Africa, and two new openings in APAC. One thing to keep in mind here is that some of these projects may never come to fruition or, at the very least, could be reflagged as a different property.

Consider the graphic above from a Six Senses brochure from a few years ago. The Six Senses Papagayo? First announced back in 2021, we learned this past January that the project (at least with its current partnership) has been scrapped. The Six Senses Palau ultimately became the Hotel Indigo Palau.
So, with a big grain of salt, let’s also take a big inhale here, and we’re off:
Americas
Six Senses Belize (2025) – Located near famed Ambergris Caye, this private island retreat features 45 resort villas and a handful of residences on 10 acres across the water from Secret Beach.

Six Senses Galapagos (2030) – Located on the northeastern coast of San Cristobal Island, the Six Senses Galapagos will allow guests to experience some of the world’s most amazing wildlife encounters. Plans for the development include an Earth Lab and Experience Center.

Six Sense Xala (Mexico) – (2027) – With just 51 accommodations, all with private pools, this resort on Mexico’s Pacific Coast south of Puerto Vallarta will be accessible from the new Costalegre International Airport.

Six Senses Grand Bahama (2030) – The Six Senses Grand Bahama will comprise ’45 waterfront and canal villas enjoying 2,400 feet of beach frontage and water on three sides.’

Six Senses Napa (2026) – More plush accommodations for your wine-tasting adventures. Located north of famed Howell Mountain, near Aetna Springs, this resort will feature ’95 rooms and suites, including ten tent-style structures, with interiors designed by 1508 London, known for their knowledge and unique capabilities in luxury hospitality.’

Six Senses Riverstone Estate (2028) – I wrote a separate piece about this upcoming property here.

Six Senses South Carolina Islands (2026) – Ditto.

Six Senses Telluride (2028) – A 77-key mountain resort (and 24 branded residences) that will allow your wildest ski adventures to come true.

Asia & Pacific
Six Senses Burnham Beeches (Australia) (2030) – With 82 rooms, including premium and unique glamping offerings, this hilly retreat takes guests to the Dandenong Ranges, about 40 km from the vastly underrated city of Melbourne.

Six Senses The Forestias (Thailand) (2026?) – The Forestias development is a multi-phase project (that also includes a Hotel Indigo property), and the Six Senses is part of ‘Phase 6.’ It’s unclear exactly where the project is in its progression, but there are a few indicators that suggest the Six Senses should debut next year. When it comes to market, it will be a 60-room hotel with 36 residences.

Europe
Six Senses London (2025) – Located in the redeveloped Whiteley London apartment building, the 109-key Six Senses London will include 14 branded residences and put guests only a stone’s throw from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

Six Senses Milan (2026) – The second Six Senses in Italy (after Rome) and the first of three new Italian properties over the next three years, the Six Senses Milan features 68 guest rooms, 15 are suites, and two feature plunge pools in Milan’s Brera Quarter.

Six Senses Antognolla (Italy) (2028) – If history is what you’re after, the Six Senses Antognolla check the box. Built in a 10th-century Benedictine monastery and crypt with traces of a Roman settlement, the 71-room outlet will put guests in Umbria, where olive groves and vineyards serve as the scenery for the Antognolla property.

Six Senses Lake Como (2028) – A heavy-on-the-views property with 102 guest rooms right on one of Italy’s most popular ‘holiday’ destinations. If you can’t relax on the resort’s outdoor pool and sun deck, try its floating pool on the lake.

Six Senses Kitzbuehel Alps (Austria) (2030) – Ski in, ski out during winter in this Austrian alpine retreat. But don’t forget this resort’s stunning lake offerings during the summer months. There’s quite the spa as well.

Six Senses Svart (Norway) (2027) – Said to be the world’s first “energy positive” hotel, the Six Senses Svart is scheduled to open in Holandsfjorden fjord in Norway, within the Arctic Circle. This one is a little dicey, as the property developer’s website makes no mention of the Six Senses, and the Six Senses Svart IG page is no longer, so I’m curious if the deal fell through at some point. Nevertheless, if this one comes to fruition, it’d be a 94-room affair in a property that ‘generates its own’ solar energy.’

Six Senses Loire Valley (2026/2027) – With 50 guest rooms and 52 residences, this grandiose property is located in a part of the Loire Valley that’s only 90 minutes from Paris. You can use this place as your launching point for sampling the region’s wines.

Six Senses Megalonisos (Greece) (2027) – 75 guest villas and 20 branded residences located on an idyllic island of the Petalioi islands group in the Aegean Sea. Relatively ‘undiscovered’ and pristine, these islands have earned the nickname “Greek Maldives.”

Six Senses Porto Heli (Greece) (2027) – With 60 rooms and suites, most equipped with private plunge pools and private terraces or gardens, the Six Senses Porto Heli brings thoughtful luxury to the summer resort town of Porto Heli.

Six Senses Össurá Valley (Iceland) (2030) – Located in Eastern Iceland, the 70-guestroom resort will feature a black sand beach and sit near Lón Lagoon, ‘the biggest gathering space for swans in the country, and Six Senses will be involved in monitoring and protecting this Icelandic population.’

Six Senses Comino (Malta) (2027) – Located on the island of Comino between Malta’s larger islands of Malta and Gozo, this 71-suite property will put guests close to beautiful Mediterranean attractions like the Blue Lagoon, a natural pool of crystal-clear, azure-colored water located right on Comino Island.

Six Senses Lisbon (2028) – Breathing life into the 17th-century Palácio Lavra, this 114-guest room conversion will put you right in the heart of Portugal’s capital city.

Six Senses Comporta (Portugal) (2028) – Located 120KM south of Lisbon, the 70-key Six Senses Comporta will allow guests to enjoy the coastal dunes along the Atlantic Ocean while also immersing themselves in the serenity of pinewood nature preserve.

Middle East & Africa
Six Senses Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) (2030) – With an expected 54 rooms by the end of development, the Six Senses Victoria Falls will bring guests to the doorstep of one of the world’s widest waterfalls. Featuring stilted eco-lodges, guests can indulge in various wellness offerings while enjoying the region’s wildlife and biodiversity.

Six Senses Morocco (2026?) – It’s unclear what is happening with this project, as we don’t have a press release to reference, and there are limited public details about the property. That said, I did some digging on social media and found a few job postings for roles at a Six Senses property in Ait Abbou, Morocco, though, curiously, Morocco isn’t listed as a country on IHG’s career page. It’s possible this one isn’t happening.

Six Senses Amaala (Saudi Arabia) (2026) – With 64 rooms, six suites, 30 villas, and 25 branded residences, this beach resort is arriving at a critical time for Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry. The first of three new Six Senses in the country (there’s already one existing resort – the Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea), the Six Senses Amaala will kick off a decade that will see Saudi Arabia host both the World Expo and World Cup.

Six Senses AlUla (Saudi Arabia) (2027) – This desert resort will feature 100 guest villas and 25 residences and be built in a natural oasis that was once home to the ancient Nabatean civilization.

Six Senses Wadi Safar (Saudi Arabia) (2028) – The Six Senses Wadi Safar will feature 80 guest rooms, bringing to life a palatial desert environment.

Six Senses The Palm, Dubai, (2026) – The Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is a 61-room Dubai hotel and 162 branded residences along a private stretch of beach on Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent.

Six Senses Tel Aviv (2026) – The second Six Senses resort in Israel, the Six Senses Tel Aviv, is a 140-key property that includes 55 residences in a skyscraper offering views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Boom. There ya go.
