As three big celebratory holidays converge today with the start of Ramadan, the Lunar New Year, and Fat Tuesday, I wanted to celebrate with this awesome list of New Orleans recommendations for your next trip to the Big Easy:
New Orleans boasts a Vietnamese community that accounts for ~4% of the city’s population, and will be formally celebrating ‘Tet’ (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) next week at Tetfest in New Orleans East.
For pure vibes alone, I want more than anything for there to be a blended New Orleans Vietnamese-Muslim family that, post-fast, is absolutely getting after it today.
Hopefully, they don’t go as hard as that one guy who always seems to go a bit too far.
