Tl;dr – The two mega-hotel chains announced additions to their London portfolios in the same week.

A few notable openings for your next stopover in London. Hilton recently announced the upcoming Derby London City for its Curio Collection, while Marriott rebranded the St Pancras from a Renaissance hotel to an Autograph Collection Hotel. Let’s take a look at each property.

The Derby London City (2026)

Named after the hat, The Derby London City is a 237-room affair (including 10 suites). Whereas the St. Pancras is a rebrand, The Derby London City won’t come online until 2026.

When it does, guests can expect to enjoy food at a signature full-service restaurant. There will also be a coffee house. A popular draw will be the hotel’s bar – named Rycrofte’s, ‘inspired by Sir John Rycrofte, Sergeant of the Larder to Henry VII and Henry VIII.’

Other amenities will include a 24-hour fitness center.

The biggest draw to this property will be its location. The Derby will be situated along the Thames, near the Tower of London and between the London and Tower Bridges.

Rates for The Derby London City aren’t yet available.

St. Pancras London, Autograph Collection

Located East of Regent’s Park, Marriott’s St. Pancras London, Autograph Collection is about 20 minutes away walkg from the British Museum.

The hotel, again rebranded from the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London, features ‘38 opulent Chambers Suites and 207 stylish guest rooms.’

As the name suggests, the hotel is located above the St. Pancras International, a central terminus where you can hop a Eurostar train to Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

For dining, guests can choose from an assortment of restaurants and bars: Booking Office 1869, The Hansom, Gothic Bar, MI + ME, and an outdoor seasonal version of the Booking Office 1869.

Other amenities include a gym…

…and a spa, replete with sauna, steam room, and relaxation pool.

With regard to rates, a random night in mid-September priced out at 507GBP for a base-level room, 91,000 points for a redemption.

History abounds at the St. Pancras, as the property originally opened in 1873 as the Midland Grand Hotel and is considered to be a masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture.

However, if you consider yourself a person of culture, you might know St. Pancras as the location of the Spice Girls’ music video for certified 90s bop ‘Wannabe’.
