Tl;dr – Though the property’s page is live on Hilton’s website advertising the October opening, reservations still are not available.
Waldorf Astoria fans will soon have a new outpost to check out, as Hilton plans to open a new location of its top-end luxury brand in Salé, a city in northwestern Morocco, on the right bank of the Bou Regreg river, opposite the national capital Rabat. Let’s dive in!
The Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé
Scheduled to open in 2025, Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé is located in the third-tallest building in all of Africa – the Mohammed VI Tower, one of Rabat’s most iconic landmarks.
There will be two specialty restaurants, Waldorf Astoria’s signature Peacock Alley, personal concierge services, a pool restaurant, meeting and boardroom spaces, a spa, an outdoor and infinity pool, and a fitness studio.
This year feels like it’s flying by, and October is just over two months away. Thus, I’m a bit surprised that the hotel is aiming for a debut in October yet still doesn’t have reservations up and running.
Elsewhere in Rabat, Hilton is planning to open a soft-brand property, as part of its Curio Collection – the Curio Collection by Hilton Rabat.
We’ll see if the debut slips past the spooky month!
