tl;dr – This will be the first Andaz hotel in Utah.
An intriguing new Andaz property is slated to open in Utah in 2029. The Andaz Heber Valley will provide guests with access to four-season outdoor activities, including easy access to nearby slopes. The hotel will be located within a larger development community called The Slope.
The hotel itself will have 85 keys, and the plans for the greater development community include 140 private villas and 62 condominiums.
Situated between the Wasatch Peaks and the Provo River, the Andaz Heber Valley will put guests within 30 minutes of Park City, Utah, and nearby various ski resorts.
As the property will be suitable for year-round visits, when it’s not time to hit the slopes, guests can enjoy mountain biking and hiking.
There isn’t a ton more information out there just yet about this project, but you can get some visuals (renderings and drone footage) at the residence sales site and information page for The Slope community. Personally, I’m a bit meh on the lifestyle billing of Andaz, but this feels like the right brand for this project from Hyatt. With the Grand Hyatt in Deer Valley and Hyatt Centric in Park City both nearby, rolling out a distinct label feels like a sensible way to round out Hyatt’s offerings in the region.
