tl;dr – The property quietly joined the Marriott portfolio in January.

Last month, Marriott welcomed a second Luxury Collection property to its Singapore lineup in as many years. The Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore, joins Marriott Bonvoy. I’m a fan of Marriott’s Luxury Collection as I find that upscale soft-brand hotels tend to deliver a lot of value. Within the portfolio, you’ll find a lot of intriguing properties and you can often enjoy the dual-benefits of elite recognition and localized flair, as well as the ‘sense of place’ each unique property affords.

Last year, Marriott added The Laurus on Singapore’s Sentosa Island to its Luxury Collection. Located in Bugis, the 403-room, 16-floor Frasers House benefits from being in the city center.

If the property looks familiar, that may be because it was formerly the InterContinental Singapore.

There was some degree of a renovation performed during the transition from IHG to Marriott, though I’m unsure if the rooms received any work. They appear to have an upscale, reserved design:

For dining, there are three restaurants: Italian at LUCE, Chinese at Man Fu Yuan, and Japanese at Chikuyotei. Guests can also enjoy standard international fare at The Lobby Lounge. There are two dedicated bars: Palms Champagne & Pool Bar and Quaich Bar Wanderlust.

Notably, the property also has a club lounge.

Amenities include a snazzy outdoor pool…

…and a fitness center.

Rates are decently competitive – I spotted a low of 55,000 Bonvoy points for a standard king and a cash rate for the same room of 427 SGD ($338.20 USD).
