tl;dr – A new luxury hotel on the Cape Town waterfront.
The first Edition hotel in Africa will debut in Cape Town, South Africa, later this year. Located at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the Cape Town Edition will feature 142 guestrooms and suites. Not too far from the colorful Bo Kaap neighborhood, where you’ll find the Hyatt Regency Cape Town, the Edition should debut as one of the better upscale options in the city. I say that as someone who’s not too big a fan of the Edition brand.
As far as the hotel’s offerings go (there aren’t a ton of details), guests can expect a spa and pool, high-end dining offerings, and a rooftop bar. Nearby, guests can also visit fun spots like Publik Wine Bar and the Gin Bar.
The hotel’s central location will provide a good jumping-off point for fun excursions, such as hiking Table Mountain on your way to the Constantia Winelands, or driving out to Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, where Black Elephant Vintners is a must-stop.
