tl;dr – The project will also include a whopping 420 branded residences.
Marriott has recently announced new developments in Vietnam, choosing its Ritz-Carlton brand as the leading luxury addition. The Ritz-Carlton Saigon will come to Ho Chi Minh City.

Slated for 231 rooms, the two-tower development will feature a hotel in one tower and 420 residences in the other. Centrally located in the city, the property will be close to several embassies, landmarks, and cultural points of interest, such as Ben Thanh Market, Independence Palace, and September 23rd Park.

The development project, which is known as One Central Saigon or “The Spirit of Saigon,” is an ambitious one. From the wiki: “The West Tower is 240 m (787 ft) tall and will hold office spaces in the lower half and [the] Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the upper half. The East Tower is 218 m (715 ft) tall and will hold [the] luxury apartments also operated by The Ritz-Carlton. The podium beneath will include 58,400 square meters of retail space and will have an underground connection to the Bến Thành station.”

As far as amenities, guests can expect a swimming pool (as well as a children’s wading pool), a modern fitness center, a yoga deck, and a spa. There will also be a sky terrace, landscaped gardens, a library, and a jacuzzi. And for anyone who likes to shop, the hotel will be well integrated within the complex’s shopping mall and commercial area.
Construction has already started on the project (in fact, it was initially announced back in 2019 and expected to debut in 2024).

There hasn’t been a refreshed opening date, but I’ll be sure to circle back on this once one becomes available.
