Review: Plaza Premium Lounge Vancouver Airport (YVR) Domestic Departures – Pier C

Tl;dr – The Plaza Premium Lounge at Pier C in Vancouver Airport’s domestic terminal doesn’t have much going on. I’d say it’s a skip unless you covet something quick (and free) to eat or drink.

Before flying out to British Columbia’s wine country, I popped into the Plaza Premium Lounge at Pier C in Vancouver’s (YVR) airport. Although the lounge offers some complimentary food and beverages, it’s a simple affair, so I wouldn’t expect much. Let’s dive into it!

Plaza Premium at Pier C (YVR)

After clearing security and entering the Pier C wing, the lounge can be found off to the left, one level above Gate C29.

The lounge is open-air style, exposed to the terminal. There are several ways by which you can access the lounge, the most common being with a Priority Pass Membership. If you’re without any membership or credit card benefit that provides complimentary access, you can also purchase a day pass.

After checking in, you’ll find lounge chairs to the right and the lounge’s main bar and food display to your left.

There is a menu detailing which offerings are complimentary and the costs to purchase items à la carte.

The bar has a sort of cafe setup, and the staff behind the counter can take your order for (and prepare) any à la carte items you’d like to purchase.

For food, you can expect a hot entrée and some sides or starters, such as soup. Though I didn’t dabble, chicken parm was on the menu when I visited.

As for service, I found the staff to be friendly, but I didn’t have many interactions. I mostly enjoyed a small bit of soup and a few sips of wine before rolling on to the gate.

Again, a simple lounge, but with decent complimentary offerings and a few comfortable chairs, it’s not a bad place to spend 30 minutes before your domestic departure.
