One of Australia’s biggest recent aviation projects, the Western Sydney International Nancy-Bird Walton Airport (WSI), is set to open this October. Before the airport commences commercial service, it will open to the public for a charity event, allowing folks to run (or walk) on the runway.
The Western Sydney International Airport RUNWAY RUN/WALK will take place on April 26, 2026.
Participants can select from a few ‘courses’:
Proceeds from the event will support the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.
