tl;dr – It is now (and once again) the ‘back-to-back’ world champ.

For the second year in a row, Singapore’s Changi has been named the World’s Best Airport by Skytrax. Besting the likes of South Korea’s Incheon International, and Tokyo’s Haneda, Changi Airport now has its best streak since its 2017 to 2020 stretch of four straight #1 finishes.

Visiting Singapore’s airport is quite the experience as the facility has several attractions both within the airport itself and in the adjoining Jewel complex, a nature-themed entertainment and retail center. Inside the Jewel complex you’ll find the famous HSBC Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.

Other attractions at Changi Airport include the 5-story Forest Valley, Canopy Park, a Butterfly Garden, the 4-story Slide@T3, free 24-hour cinemas, rooftop swimming pools, and extensive themed gardens, making it a “mini-city” transit experience.

Changi airport hasn’t really ever dropped too far in the rankings. From 2021-2024, its lowest ranking was #3, which is registered twice, back-to-back in 2021 and 2022. In 2023 it was back at #1 before dropping to #2 in 2024

Most years the top 5 airports consist of the usual suspects – Singapore Changi, Doha Hamad, Seoul Incheon, Tokyo Haneda with Tokyo’s Narita, Hong Kong tussling over the last spot. At times you’ll find a rogue appearance from a large European airport, such as CDG or Munich.
