tl;dr – The luxury brand will add more firepower to London’s stacked luxury hotel scene.
Luxury brand Six Senses will open its first property in the UK on March 1 of this year, located in London, within The Whiteley, in the city’s Bayswater neighborhood.

With 109 rooms (and 12 residences), there is a bit of a tug-of-war here, between the brand’s ethos for small-property-intimacy and the need to go a bit ‘bigger’ for the London market. Still, 109 rooms isn’t a grandiose property by any means, and I have every reason to believe the vibe will still feel personal.

As wellness is core to the Six Senses brand, the hotel has the Six Senses Spa London, focused on recovery and longevity services.

For dining, there are a few outlets, one of which is Whiteley’s Kitchen. Notably, the property will feature the Six Senses Place London, the brand’s first-ever private club. Not too much information is available on the club as of now but there is a form you can complete to ‘register your interest.’

With regards to pricing, I checked a random day this Spring (April) and a superior king room costs $1086.53 on a flexible rate.

Six Senses is a bit weird in that not every property in the portfolio participates in IHG Rewards. Hopefully, that will change in the near future, especially as the brand is expected to more than double its footprint over the next five years.
If (in a few weeks time) you depart the Six Senses London to catch your flight home but end up getting Heathrow’d, no worries – book a night here.
