tl;dr – It’s strategic and affordable!
If your 2026 plans include checking out any National Parks, namely Yellowstone, then there’s a new property bookable through Hyatt that you should keep on your list.

The Wandering Buffalo recently opened in Bozeman, MT, and it’s part of the World of Hyatt Mr. & Mrs. Smith collection. For many World of Hyatt members, Mr. & Mrs. Smith has been a bit disappointing, as the most coveted properties in the Mr. & Mrs. Smith collection haven’t offered great point redemption opportunities. I’d argue that this is still the case with the Wandering Buffalo, but it matters less because the bright side is that the cash rate of this property is competitive.
Located in downtown Bozeman, the hotel features 38 rooms and is strategically situated to explore Montana’s Big Sky country, with a 1.5-hour drive to the start of the Yellowstone National Park area. Thus, if you’re planning to fly into Bozeman, say on the soon-to-be-merged Allegiant Sun Country conglomerate, the Wandering Buffalo could be a great crash pad.

Amenities at the hotel include complimentary bike rentals and a fire pit to enjoy the night sky.

The property is actually twice a points-property – the Wandering Buffalo is also a member of Stash Rewards, similar to The Marcus Whitman Hotel in Walla Walla, WA.
