If you follow all things points and miles, by now you’ve heard of the doom-and-gloom award chart devaluation and other upcoming changes to the World of Hyatt loyalty program. When the news first dropped, it was said that these changes would take place sometime in May. Well, it appears that the actual date of effectiveness will be May 7, 2026.
This is according to a message posted to the r/hyatt subreddit. Reddit user u/David_Copperfield posted a screenshot of a note from the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, which reads as follows:
So if this is to be believed, that’s exactly one month from today. On the bright side, there’s still time to plan. I’ll have more about some other Hyatt strategies tomorrow!
