tl;dr – Wyndham just inked a deal to add four casino properties.

Wyndham and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma recently signed a deal that will see four casino resort properties join the Wyndham portfolio.

The four properties and the Wyndham Collection they are joining are as follows:

  • The Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant will join the Wyndham Grand Portfolio.
  • The Choctaw Landing Casino & Resort–Hochatown will join the Trademark Collection by Wyndham.
  • The Choctaw Casino & Resort–Pocola will join the Trademark Collection by Wyndham.
  • The Choctaw Casino & Resort–Grant will join the Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

The Durant property is about 90 miles north of Dallas, so for folks in the DFW area, not too far away by any means. It’s a regular host of World Series of Poker events, and amenities at the property include over 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges (lol), a full-service spa, several swimming pools, a bowling alley, an arcade, and a movie theatre.

Wyndham regularly runs sales on its Wyndham Rewards points, where you can snap them up at a deep discount (or with a big bonus).

These sales can enable you to make some compelling redemption opportunities – you can often book stays at a fraction of the cash price. I’ve profiled at least a few of these opportunities in our Deals I’m Booking That You Should Too series. I haven’t looked into the rates of these casinos in Oklahoma, so I don’t know if the opportunity is as ripe there.

Admittedly, casinos aren’t too much my jam, but I know a lot of readers are regular casino-goers, so for those points fans looking for more redemption opportunities, this could be for you.
