Tl;dr – Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Greece is now open for reservations.
Marriott recently added an exciting property to its Greek Isles portfolio – The Patmos Aktis. The Patmos Aktis Resort & Spa, receives the soft-brand treatment, joining Marriott’s Luxury Collection. There’s one big quirk about the Patmos Aktis – there’s no airport on the island of Patmos. To get there, you’ll need to take a ferry from one of the other nearby Dodecanese Islands (that does have an airport), such as Kos or Leros, or hop on a ferry at Piraeus, a port town near Athens.

Outside of that, this property looks pretty fun. I love me a Luxury Collection Hotel, so let’s dive in.
Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa

Located on the southeast side of the sacred island of Patmos, the Patmos Aktis is a 56-room property. There’s a range of different room types, from spacious deluxe room options with incredible sea views, suites with private pools, and maisonettes.

The property captures the classic Mediterranean vibe, and it comes through in the amenities. There are two pools, the main pool and a dedicated lap pool.

You could also post up on the beachfront on one of the resort’s many loungers and take in some sun and fun while you watch yachts pass by.

As part of the property’s upgrades, there’s also a modern fitness center for guests looking to stay active.

For dining, there are three on-property options – the Italian restaurant Cielo e Mare, the authentic Greek tavern Plefsis, and the Cielo all-day lounge bar. Outdoor dining here looks quite inviting, if I do say so myself.

Of course, in the Greek Isles, relaxation comes easily, but should you choose to, you can double down on it at the hotel’s Anasa Wellness & Spa Center.

Rates at the Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, are pretty affordable. I’m seeing cash rates as low as 212 in September 2025. Points rates bottom out at 54,000 points per night, which suggests you should pay the cash rate.

Marriott has a growing portfolio in the Aegean-Cretan area, strengthened by recent marquee openings. If you’re planning to check this spot out, let me know in the comments!
