ZipAir, a five-year-old low-cost subsidiary of JAL, just announced its Christmas Sale. The sale, which covers most of the routes ZipAir flies, drops the carrier’s already low prices to “hmm, I’m really thinking about it” levels. Let’s take a look.
For one-way travel to Tokyo from North America, $259 will get you there (from LAX). $334 is enough to get you from Houston to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport – not bad.
While you’ll pay extra for meals, check-in baggage, and advanced seat selection, the fare does include a 7kg small carry-on.
The sale is valid for the travel period: December 15, 2025 – April 24, 2026.
If you’re already booked a lay-flat on one leg of your trip to Japan, and you’re looking for a more affordable option on the other leg, this could be it. (Though there are some other compelling options.)
