Tl;dr – The property will add to the list of high-end ski resorts in the French Alps.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts just announced its latest impending debut, and it’s a pretty big one. The Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, the brand’s first property in the French Alps, is scheduled to open in December 2025. Fans of alpine life may know that this area of the French Alps is home to a small but growing number of high-end luxury properties. There’s L’Apogée Courchevel, Cheval Blanc Courchevel, Aman Le Melezin, and Les Airelles, to name a few. Let’s dive in.
Details on the specifics aren’t super flush, but here’s what we do know. The 51-room Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin will offer ski-in, ski-out access, a spacious spa, an all-day dining concept with a terrace, a kids’ club, a bar, a lounge, and a cigar room. Notably, the property claims to boast ‘the highest suite inventory in Courchevel’s exclusive Le Jardin Alpin,’ so if more space is a necessity for your ski accommodations, perhaps the Rosewood Courchevel will be a good fit.
I’m pretty sure that the property is a remodel of the Hotel Les Ducs de Savoie, a former three-star hotel that fell on hard times. As Rosewood partnered with designer Tristan Auer for a complete makeover, I imagine that these photos of the now-shuttered Hotel Les Ducs de Savoie aren’t representative of what the property will look like upon its debut.

The location is next door to Les Airelles and two doors down from the Cheval Blanc Courchevel, so, needless to say, there’s a lot of optimism surrounding this property.

Despite being wholly in the ‘ugh, really France again?? camp’, this one does look intriguing.
