Starlux To Kick off Australian (and beyond!) Service in 2027

Source: You Are Travel

tl;dr – A cool new route for anyone looking to plan an extended adventure.

While Taiwanese carrier Starlux recently announced new fees for booking award flights, the carrier also announced some good news. It will commence service to Sydney in 2027. The back-to-back 5-Star SKYTRAX-rated airline will fly from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD), with the Sydney flight continuing as a tag-on service across to Auckland International Airport (AKL) in New Zealand.

Starlux also dropped the news that it’s considering two new European routes as well – TPE- Barcelona (BCN) and TPE – Zürich (ZRH).

With this new Australian route, Starlux – which has previously teased its aspirations to join the oneworld alliance – is leaning into a region where recent industry developments bode well for greater transpacific and Oceanic connectivity.

A firm date hasn’t been announced for the start of the service, but I’ll circle back on this once one becomes available.
