Tl;dr – This will be the first Andaz property in Portugal.

Fun news for all you chouriço, linguiça, and touriga nacional fans. Hyatt is scheduled to open the Andaz Lisbon later this year, sometime in Q4 2025. Though several outlets have reported on an opening before the year closes, reservations are live on the property’s website, and the earliest bookable date is January 2026. I’m guessing we’ll see a soft opening before an official grand debut in Q1. Hyatt first announced this property back in 2020, so it’s cool to see it finally come to market. Let’s dive in.

Andaz Lisbon

The Andaz Lisbon will feature 170 guestrooms and suites, ranging from 236 square feet to 1,065 square feet.

Many rooms will offer views of nearby landmarks like São Jorge Castle, Praça do Comércio, and the Tagus River.

Guests can enjoy food and libations at Luzzi, which showcases modern Lusitanian cuisine, and the Andaz Lounge.

The property will include both a spa and a fitness center for guests looking to rejuvenate, refresh, and focus on wellness.

Opening rates show $265 for the lowest category room and a redemption cost of 21,000 points.

It’s great to see another core property come online in Portugal’s capital. It’s a bit surprising, but this will be only the third core Hyatt property in all of Portugal, and just the second on the mainland (there is a Dreams in Madeira – Shout out to Ronaldo, btw) alongside the Hyatt Regency

Hyatt’s Portuguese portfolio is heavily reliant on Mrs & Mrs Smith properties. All of the below listed properties are Mrs & Mrs Smith except for three!

Mr & Mrs Smith for Hyatt in Portugal is like Josh Allen for the Bills, Stripe and Figma for Sequoia’s portfolio, FlyingBlue Redemptions for the entire SkyTeam network…you get the point.
