Marriott and Ethiopian Airlines have teamed up to offer members mutual point transfers. You can convert Marriott Bonvoy points to Ethiopian Airlines ShebaMiles at a 3:1 ratio. Additionally, members receive 5,000 bonus ShebaMiles for every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points transferred in a single transaction.
You can convert ShebaMiles to Bonvoy points at a 2:1 ratio.
Traditionally, converting airline miles to Bonvoy Points isn’t the most compelling redemption value. Transferring Bonvoy points to airlines, in most cases, doesn’t net you top value either. That said, there are some unique circumstances when converting Bonvoy points to certain carriers – ANA, for example – can result in outsized value.
