tl;dr – The W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu is now open.
Marriott recently fully launched its third W property in Italy, the W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu.

The hotel features 157 stylishly appointed guestrooms and suites. Located in “the charming village of Poltu Quatu (which means “hidden port” in local Sardinian language) and located at the edge of a buzzy marina, minutes away from beaches with pristine turquoise waters alongside natural sculptures of cliff-side rocks.”

Room types range from the ‘cozy’ room all the way up to premium suites. Decor features classic Mediterranean whitewashed stone and emblematic clay tiling roofs.

For dining, the property has one main restaurant serving Mediterranean fare – Tanit. Inside Tanit, there’s an option for sweet treats – Dolce Room. Elsewhere, guests can otherwise enjoy light snacks at the W Lounge or the poolside during the day.

As far as amenities and things to do, there are some fun ones. There’s the standard W ‘Wet Deck’, the resort’s pool area.

In addition, guests can enjoy a modern Technogym-equipped gym at the W Fit.

Finally, “from the hotel’s private marina, guests can venture out to explore some of the Mediterranean’s most spectacular coastal scenery. In partnership with Fjord 41 XL speedboats, curated excursions unlock exclusive access to Sardinia’s spectacular coastline – from anchoring in hidden coves and secluded swimming spots, to discovering La Maddalena Archipelago and embarking on day trips to the pristine island of Caprera. Each journey is designed as a gateway to the island’s wild beauty, sense of freedom, and spirit of exploration.”

Rates at the property vary throughout the year, but I spotted one night in May 2026 going for about $580 USD.
