British Airways Open Swanky New Lounges in Miami and Dubai

tl;dr – Guests traveling in First Class can also enjoy Concorde Room Dining.

British Airways just unveiled its newest lounge concepts, and you can find them in Miami and Dubai. Let’s dive in.

Today, British Airways opens a 13,000 square foot lounge in Miami International Airport’s Terminal E, which is the carrier’s largest lounge outside of London, solely operated by British Airways.

The centerpiece of the lounge is its bar, which is flanked by expansive windows overlooking the apron. Outside of the main dining space, guests can enjoy focus pods and a lowered central lounge with partitions for those looking for a private space.

Concorde Dining will make an appearance at the lounge as well. It’s great to see this expanding outside of the Concorde Room at Heathrow. I’m curious as to how this will measure up to the existing American Airlines Flagship First Dining at Miami, as well as the future Flagship lounge (which will replace the existing American Flagship Lounge).

For those traveling to Dubai, you can expect a smaller lounge (5,800 square feet) located in Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport. Whereas the Miami lounge aims to blend British Airways tradition with local South Florida flair, the Dubai outlet, predictably, blends British and Middle Eastern concepts.

For dining, the lounge’s buffet features localities like Arabic breakfast, mezze, Dubai Chocolate (there’s also a Dubai chocolate martini at the bar for any fanatics), and premium Arabica coffee from Coffee Planet.

Concorde Dining makes another appearance here as travelers can feast on Umm Ali and the famous Concorde Wagyu burger.

Amenities include shower suites – there are two of them, allowing travelers to refresh at the popular stopover airport before continuing onto their final destination.

Access to these lounges is reserved for:

  • British Airways’ customers traveling in Club World (business class) or First
  • The British Airways Club members with Silver status and above
  • oneworld customers with Sapphire status and above

If you’re keen on visiting these lounges, that Royal Jordanian status match opportunity (which can net you oneworld Silver) could be your ticket in!
