tl;dr – Aman Karingani is coming to Mozambique.
Today, we’re going to talk a bit about Aman, and let’s start with a bang. Aman recently announced that it’ll open its first African safari property, Aman Karingani – a resort and branded residences within the 150,000-hectare Karingani Game Reserve in southern Mozambique.

Expected to have just 30 guest rooms, the Aman Karingani’s pavilions will come equipped with private pools and views of the surrounding scenery.

Facilities will be housed at the property’s central lodge, and guests can relax and recharge at the signature Aman Spa.
One of the unique elements to wildlife experiences in Mozambique is the regions diverse landscape. As there are open plains, forests and seasonal wetlands guests can enjoy different types of safari game drives.

As mentioned above, there are residences that I find quite interesting. Not too much is known about them at this time, other than there’ll be a range of different offerings, three to six bedrooms.
While this is only the second Aman property in Africa (the other is in Morocco), it won’t be the first Aman where guests can enjoy immersive wildlife experiences. Aman has a few properties in India, and at Aman-i-Khas, guests can emerge from their tents to enjoy daily safaris where the Bengal tiger is the main draw.

I’d be curious to see what the pricing model is here for this property. Safaris, particularly luxe ones, tend to be all-inclusive, and I’d imagine Aman would follow suit.
There is no projected opening date for the Aman Karingani, but I’ll be sure to follow up once one materializes.
BTW, if you’re looking to ‘safari on points’, I’ve got you.
