tl;dr – A weekly list of travel deals(s) I’m moving on that you may also want to consider.

We’re back with another installment of “Deals I’m Booking That You Should Book Too”, a weekly series where I walk you through a random (possibly more) curated deal(s) – points & miles, cash, or otherwise – that I find compelling. You can find the past installments here (and yes, volumes 3-5 are on their way, I have forgotten!).

If you find these deals helpful, we’d love it if you subscribed to You Are Travel.

Ok, let’s dive into it.

Enjoy the Luxury of Qatar Airways Q-Suites for as Little as “One Band”

Yes, it’s true. If you’re unfamiliar, Qatar Airways’ Qsuite is a highly acclaimed business class product known for its innovative private suites with sliding doors, lie-flat beds (even double beds for couples), and quad seating that allows families or groups to face each other, offering a first-class experience in business class, available on select Boeing 777 and 787 aircraft.

It’s available on several of the airline’s routes, and one of the best ways for booking Qsuites is using Qatar Airways’ own currency – Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios. Avios are the loyalty point currency for several other airlines, including British Airways, Iberia, Finnair, and can be freely transferred among carriers that use Avios. That said, if you’re starting from zero (you have no Avios), there’s a great opportunity to purchase all the points you’ll need to make a stellar redemption.

Presently, Qatar Airways is running a sale (act quickly as it ends tomorrow, December 6, 2025) where you can purchase Avios with up to a 65% bonus.

If you’re planning on flying Qsuite between the Americas and Doha (Qatar’s headquarters/hub), you can find saver fares for as little as 70,000 Avios. As a bonus, these fares, when booked using Qatar’s Avios, don’t carry any surcharges.

And if you’re wondering about availability, it’s decent. Looking a year out, I see several days of availability for Qsuites to and from cities in the US, Canada, and Brazil. For just 70,000 Avios, you can enjoy 15+ hours of Qatar’s stellar service, dining, and seats.

Now let’s put it all together.

I’m logged into my Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and I’ve now navigated to Points.com to purchase my Qatar Avios.

It just so happens that the minimum purchase that will net you 70,000 is also the lowest threshold that triggers the maximum 65% discount – great.

As you can see, it’ll cost me $1012 to purchase enough miles to make a saver redemption. And if you remember, because there are no added taxes and fees/surcharges – that’s my price ‘out the door’ for this Qsuite experience.

What is the cash price for any of these flights, you ask? Let’s take a peek at the Doha to San Francisco route.

$4073.

You know what to do.

As a final note, I’ll point out that this quick trick doesn’t involve applying for any credit cards or meeting any minimum spend. There’s certainly a time and place for all that, but if you’re someone who, for any reason can’t access the credit markets, it’s good to know that if you have any instrument at all that’ll let you make purchases online (debit card) and can afford $1000, then a luxury experience like this is still within your reach.

The power of points and miles.

And once more, if you found this helpful, we’d love it if you subscribed to You Are Travel!
