tl;dr – IHG continues to grow its top-tier luxury brand.
In the past, I’ve covered the planned proliferation of the Six Senses brand, with the luxury brand’s portfolio set to more than double its footprint over the next five years. IHG recently announced a new project, and it’ll be a lot closer to home for North American-based travelers. The Six Sense Camp Korongo is planned for a 2029 opening.

Located near Kanab, Utah, the upcoming resort will be just a stone’s throw from Utah’s southern border with Arizona. Its strategic location will put visitors within striking distance of popular national parks like Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon.

Keeping to the small property ethos of the Six Senses brand, “the 41 luxury tented pavilions and 12 branded residences at Six Senses Camp Korongo will awaken the senses in this extraordinary location.” Photos seem to suggest a luxury glamping vibe, and of course, with the natural beauty of this part of the US, grand views won’t be hard to come by.

I’m very curious to see if the Investment IHG is making in the Six Senses brand will also include closer incorporation of the luxury portfolio into its IHG Rewards program. Though I’m sure redemption values won’t be cheap (and with less than 50 rooms a property, availability maybe scare), it’d be pretty great to book some of these luxury properties on points.
