Here’s Where the Four Seasons is Opening Up Next

Source: Four Seasons

tl;dr – Several future locations of the luxury hotel chain.

Four Seasons allegedly has a pipeline of more than 60 projects. Whether those are all still happening is anyone’s guess. That said, we have seen recent openings in Cartagena and Puerto Rico. In addition, announcements about upcoming properties in Telluride, Charleston, and Sevilla are exciting. And of course, the brand (through licensing) is gearing up for its maiden luxury yacht voyage.

Here are several other upcoming properties of interest:

Four Seasons Berlin

Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia

Four Seasons Gstaad, Switzerland

Four Seasons Mykonos

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Caye Chapel, Belize

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jacksonville

Four Seasons Deer Valley

Four Seasons Venice (Danieli)

Four Seasons Okinawa

Four Seasons Zanzibar

Four Seasons Xi’an

Four Seasons Taipei

Four Seasons Shanghai

Four Seasons Puglia

Four Seasons Port Heli

Four Seasons New Cairo Capital

Four Seasons Luxor

Three Saudi Arabian properties, as part of the country’s tourism push, are mentioned here:

Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, Saudi Arabia

Four Seasons NEOM

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jeddah at the Corniche

Keep in mind that upcoming projects can run into any number of issues, making it less certain that a property will come to market. That might be the case with the Four Seasons Hanoi and Four Seasons Melbourne, both of which have seen their announcement webpages pulled.

I’m sure fans of the Four Seasons might find many of these upcoming properties exciting. My personal favorite upcoming project is one I’ve previously written about – the Four Seasons Rio De Janeiro.

For all that Rio offers, the city lacks a lot of punch when it comes to luxury hotel brands. The current clubhouse leaders are probably Belmond’s Copacabana Palace, Accor’s Fairmont, or the Hotel Fasano. I recently stayed at a few of the city’s points hotels, including the JW Marriott, Grand Hyatt, Sheraton, and Yoo2 Rio de Janeiro (part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection), all of which were decent-to-solid. It’s not unreasonable to think that when it debuts, the Four Seasons Rio De Janeiro will take the throne.

Here’s an on-the-ground look at the property’s construction progress (as well as its location, right on Praia da Leblon / Ipanema Beach). The video starts with a look at the Sheraton on the other side of the mountain in Leblon, then briefly shows the in-progress-structure, the future Four Seasons Rio, which used to be the Marina Rio. The video concludes with a brief zoom towards the shoreline bend which leads to Copacabana beach.
