SLH Welcomes 25 Properties and Here Are the Hotels I’m Most Excited About

Source: The Retreat Koh Chang

Tl;dr – Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) added 25 new properties in Q1.

Last year, during the great partnership ‘swaperoo’, we saw Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) end its relationship with Hyatt and forge a new one with Hilton. For its part, Hyatt sparked a new love affair with Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which thus far has not been that hot and heavy.

SLH has added new hotels to its network over the last few months, with many outlets reporting that it added 25 alone in Q1 of 2025. New places to redeem points are always something to investigate, so let’s peek at the newly added properties and the hotels that pique my interest.

The 25 Properties SLH added in Q1

Below is a list of the newly added properties. An “” denotes that the property participates in Hilton Honors, allowing members to earn and redeem points through Hilton, whereas an “X” means the property is not yet a part of Hilton Honors.

The Properties I’m Most Excited About

Cuvée J2 Hôtel Osaka by Onko Chishin, Japan – If you’ve been a regular reader of You Are Travel, then you know I could have ended the list here. As the name would suggest, this is a champagne hotel, where each floor showcases a prominent champagne house. 🍾

To add to the fun, the hotel is located in Osaka, a city with an improving luxury hotel scene. I’m hoping this property participates in Hilton Honors and will transition soon!

YNDO Hotel, France – Located in Bordeaux, this hotel can be a launchpad for fun wine adventures. It has a quintessential old-school castle feel. I’m a buyer. It is already bookable on Hilton. 🍷

Bolontiku Boutique Hotel and Spa, Guatemala – Located on Lake Petén Itzá, one of Guatemala’s largest (and most beautiful) lakes, this boutique hotel is just over an hour from historic sites like Tikal, Yaxhá, and El Mirador. It’s been bookable on Hilton for a few months now.

Le Calette N°5, Italy – Not yet available on Hilton, this Sicilian beachside hotel in the old-world town of Cefalu (about an hour’s drive from Palermo) looks like a great place to post up and soak up the Mediterranean sun.

The Retreat Koh Chang – A healthy measure less busy than the popular Thailand islands of Phuket or Koh Samui, Koh Chang is known for a more peaceful vibe and slower pace. In a country that’s thick in the fight against overtourism, The Retreat remarkably manages to keep the spirit of this island, as guests have repeatedly given it perfect ratings.
