Tl;dr – Be the Points and Miles Champ You Are. I believe in you!
American Express has launched an offer with Hilton, allowing you to earn $200 back on room rates and room charges at select Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, LXR, Nomad & Signia properties.

This is a solid offer in its own right, but it gets even better if you can stack it with the long-running Hilton deal where you can save 25% off cash bookings at Waldorf Astoria, Conrad & LXR properties. If you’re looking to book a paid stay at one of Hilton’s top three luxury brands (Nomad and Signia aren’t part of the ‘save 25’ promotion), you can save a little bit more money.
This deal has been around for a while, and it’s the ‘LRM Extra Night’ rate. You can access it by applying the rate code ‘PBBOG1’ in the promotion code box (under special rates) when searching for a hotel on Hilton.com.

Let’s run through an example of how you’d stack these two together:
First, locate the Amex offer in the ‘Amex Offers & Benefits’ section of your account dashboard, then select “Add to Card.” If you have multiple Amex cards, remember which card you’ve added it to, as that’s the one you’ll want to pay for at checkout.

Now, let’s say I’m looking to book the few-months-old Waldorf Astoria Osaka for an upcoming stay.

I’ll add the code (PBBOG1) and see what comes out. As you can see, the ‘LRM Extra Night‘ is cheaper than the lowest available member rate. It’s even lower than the advance pay rate, which per the terms of the Amex offer specifically doesn’t stack.
(As of time of writing, 345,448 Japanese Yen = $2,338.42 and 371,778 Japanese Yen = 2,516.66 United States Dollar)

As an added bonus, you also have a more flexible cancellation policy.

Once your stay is complete, be sure to pay the card you added the offer to, and you should receive a statement credit for $200 (as long as your pre-tax bill is $1000 or more). If a family member/household member also has an American Express card targeted for the offer, consider splitting the bill (if it’s over $2000). This way, you’ll both receive $200 statement credits, effectively doubling your cash back. Using the Waldorf Astoria Osaka example, if you’re a multi-card household, you could save as around $600. That’s not bad.
Act Fast for a Possible Triple Stack Opportunity?
If you have an imminent stay before the end of this month (August 31) at a luxury Hilton property in the Caribbean or Mexico – like the Conrad Punta de Mita, Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya, Zemi Beach House, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, or Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique – there might be an opportunity for the rare triple stack. Amex also has the following offer, which expires at the end of this month.

Remember, you’ll similarly want to activate it in your Amex dashboard and be sure to pay with that card at checkout.

Once again, if you have this offer on multiple Amex accounts or a family member has it on their account, consider splitting the bill between the cards if your total checkout folio is at least $2000. This way, you can get a total of $400 in savings.
If you were able to successfully trigger both Amex offers, on a four (or more) night stay and split the payment between two cards that are targeted for each offer, you’d get $800 cash back, plus the discounted room from the promotion code.
Again, not bad!
