tl;dr – This is one of two marquee openings for the Capella brand in early 2026.
Fans of the Capella Hotel brand have a lot to be excited about lately. The Capella Kyoto will soon open next month, the Capella Taipei opened in April of last year and now a new property, the Capella at Galaxy Macau, has just opened its doors. I wrote about this property’s impending debut last year, but as the property has started to accept guests, and as I just checked out of a stellar stay the Patina Osaka (Capella’s sibling brand) I figured it’s worthwhile to take another quick look at the Capella at Galaxy Macau. Let’s dive in.
The Capella at Galaxy Macau, scheduled for a Q2 2025 debut, will come dressed for the ball, as the all-suite gilded building will house “95 light-filled Sky Villas”. Each room comes equipped with its own private butler.

Macau is a gambler’s haven, an Asian Vegas where gambling is turned up to ten and entertainment is down to one. Macau, a special administrative region (SAR), is just an hour’s ferry ride from Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and alongside Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China. The greater region is home to a who’s who of luxury hotel brands, with Macau itself housing a Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Four Seasons, and Mandarin Oriental, to name a few.
Capella aims to be all about ‘substance,’ and the local offerings at this property include tea ceremonies and baijiu tastings.
You’ll also find Capella brand mainstays like the Living Room (present at every Capella hotel with its own location-based twist – similar to Waldorf Astoria and Peacock Alley) and Capella Curates.

Other amenities include an infinity-pool, a private winter garden, a fitness center, and a games room.

The Capella at Galaxy Macau will have a few dining outlets, led by craft cocktail outpost Pony & Plume and a concept from Hong Kong chef Vicky Cheng of the World’s 50 Best Restaurant Wing.

With regards to pricing, a flexible rate for a one-bedroom room in March is going for 24,898 MOP ($3102.97 USD).
