tl;dr – The integration of Bahia Principe resorts will mean the sunset of the My Bahia Principe loyalty program.

World of Hyatt members who love themselves an all-inclusive will soon have 22 additional resorts to choose from (there are 125 existing properties across Hyatt’s all-inclusive brands at the time of writing). On March 24, 2026, Bahia Principe’s portfolio will formally join the World of Hyatt loyalty program. In the past, I’ve written extensively about both the status of this acquisition and Hyatt’s growing dominance in the all-inclusive resort game generally.

Of Bahia Principe’s 22 resorts, 17 of them are in the Caribbean – the other 5 are in the Spanish Mediterranean.

This distribution heavily overlaps with Hyatt’s existing all-inclusive resorts, so I’d expect that many of the Bahia Principe Resorts will slot into the corresponding brands already represented in each respective region. Alua might be the brand of choice for Bahia’s European properties, while Bahia’s Caribbean properties will be categorized as Zoëtry’s or Sunscapes. In either region, more upscale Bahia resorts could potentially become Dreams/Zivas (family-friendly) or Secrets/Zilaras (adults-only). I doubt that any of the Bahia properties join the Breathless (lifestyle) or Impression by Secrets (luxury) portfolios.

As fully participating properties in World of Hyatt, “[these resorts will offer]:

  • Award nights starting at 12,000 points during off-peak pricing
  • 5 base points per eligible $1 spent on room rates
  • Bonus points based on elite tier status
  • Credit toward tier status and Milestone Rewards
  • Progress toward the Brand Explorer Award, where members earn a free night after staying at 5 unique Hyatt brands
  • On-property elite benefits, where available”
