tl;dr – More aggressive moves from Minor Hotels.

Recently, I’ve profiled Thailand-based Minor Hotels and why I think it would make a great acquisition target. The chain continues to grow in several areas – launching new upscale brands and expanding its existing ones. Growth in the Americas appears to be a focus area, and as such, Minor Hotels recently announced its latest project – the Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences.

Located on North Caicos, the resort will be accessible from Providenciales via a 25-minute private boat transfer or a flight to North Caicos Airport. North Caicos hasn’t seen as much development as some other areas of the Turks and Caicos, so guests can enjoy pristine beaches and the picturesque sandy coastlines you see in photos.

The property will have 78 keys, split across guest rooms, suites, and branded residences (it’s unclear how many of each right now). As far as amenities are concerned, there’s a lot to look forward to, including: “a full-service Anantara Spa, fitness center and yoga studios, tennis, padel and pickleball courts, a dedicated water sports center, multiple swimming pools, and an on-site observatory for celestial and night-time experiences.”

Dining offerings will include beachfront restaurants, a wine cellar, and a sunset rooftop bar.

Turks and Caicos is a buzzy luxury market as of late. We’ve seen Marriott introduce Salterra and IHG add a Hotel Indigo.  Hilton (via SLH) added the South Bank Resort and will also bring its LXR brand to the territory in 2028. Aman’s lifestyle brand, Janu, will also join the fun.
