Did I Win? – My Titanium Status Dreams Are Realized as Rotana Rewards Synchronizes with GHA Discovery

tl;dr – Titanium Rotana Discovery status is not a bad take for a few minutes of clicking around.

Several months ago, I wrote about this low-hanging fruit opportunity to potentially gain meaningful GHA Discovery status – the loyalty program for the Global Hotel Alliance portfolio. GHA includes luxury brands like Anantara, Avani, Corinthia, Kempinski, The Doyle Collection, and Viceroy Hotels & Resorts (and many more).

The long of it is as follows: Rotana Hotels, a United Arab Emirates-based luxury hotel chain with properties across the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe, was matching status from Marriott Bonvoy, IHG® One Rewards, ALL, Accor Live Limitless, and Hilton. Though holding elite status with Rotana wasn’t the biggest draw in and of itself, the hope was that Rotana Rewards status would transfer over to GHA Discovery, as it was announced that Rotana would be joining the GHA Discovery loyalty program later in the year.

Well, later is now, and I recently received an email detailing the new Rotana Discovery loyalty program, which should be live next month.

Essentially, Rotana Discovery is just GHA Discovery branded for Rotana members. The benefit tiers of the loyalty program are the same, and Rotana members will enjoy these benefits at any participating GHA property. In my case, I matched to the Titanium tier, which means I’ll enjoy Double Upgrades, an extra hour of late checkout, and, notably, complimentary breakfast at all participating GHA properties:

For anyone who matched to Platinum, you’ll now enjoy some decent (but not free breakfast) benefits as well:

Again, not bad for a few seconds of clicking around.
