Apparently, People Love this Fairfield Inn…

Source: Marriott

tl;dr – It’s a barn, on a farm, in Indiana.

The Fairfield Inn in Fair Oaks, Indiana, is evidently a fan favorite. From Reddit u/pumpkinotter:

“Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana. About halfway between Chicago and Indianapolis. We go a minimum of once a year for a weekend. The hotel itself is fantastic and very family-friendly with a nice restaurant and pool. Then you have the farm where you can do a cow and pig tour and have the world’s best grilled cheeses and ice cream.

Even if you aren’t staying a night or going to the farm, the gas station at the corner sells their food and ice cream too.”

Best grilled cheeses, you say?

The property, which is a 99-room “beautiful contemporary barn,” sits next to a “modern working farm for families to discover agriculture.”

As mentioned above, this family-friendly property offers both a ‘pig adventure’ and a ‘cow adventure’.

Guests can learn all about agriculture and all things dairy, while also enjoying the on-site ice cream parlor and house-made cheese shop. Seasonally, you can pick apples in the orchard. You can even have a private dinner in an igloo, if you choose.

There’s a birthing bar where ‘babies arrive daily.’

The hotel also boasts standard non-farm-oriented amenities like a fitness center, indoor pool, and business center. Several people had good things to say about the food, too.

It’s a bit fun to imagine some unsuspecting Marriott loyalist – perhaps a beleaguered business traveler – booking this place thinking it’s a standard Fairfield Inn. Upon rolling up to crash for the evening, they find themselves in an unexpected backyard barn adventure!

For what it’s worth, the property has pretty solid ratings on Marriott’s site, Google – though not as high on TripAdvisor.
