tl;dr – After several delays, the property has finally opened its doors.
Last July, I wrote about Hilton’s plans to debut a Waldorf Astoria in Morocco, in the Rabat-Salé corridor. That property, which was originally slated to debut in October 2025, has officially opened its doors. Housed in The Mohammed VI Tower – a $700 million project that was 8 years in the making – this is Hilton’s first Waldorf Astoria property in the country. I’m actually writing this piece from Morocco, fresh off stays at a few luxury points properties (reviews coming soon). Let’s take a quick look.

With 55 rooms and sweeping views of the Atlantic, the property’s design is the brainchild of “French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, celebrating fine traditional Moroccan craftsmanship viewed through a contemporary lens.”

The dramatic Mohammed VI Tower is said to have been inspired “by the rocket that put a man on the moon.”

The hotel’s dining experience is highlighted by its Alain Ducasse restaurant, Aldabaran, which serves elevated cuisine of the French Riviera.

There’s a two-story spa and wellness area on the 31st and 32nd floors.

There property also boasts the Waldorf Astoria’s signature ‘Peacock Alley.’
Hilton’s website was experiencing an error as I tried to populate rates, but a standard room appears to range between 7000 and 8000 Moroccan Dirham or $700-$800 per night.
Elsewhere in Morocco, Hilton will expand its upscale offerings with a few soft brand debuts, including Tapestry Collection by Hilton Chefchaouen in the famous Blue City, Tapestry Collection by Hilton Casablanca, and a luxury LXR Hotel & Resort in Casablanca.
