tl;dr – Best Western adds a new ‘outdoorsy brand’ and an exotic jungle location.
Way back in 2024, I compiled a list of the many hybrid-accommodation brands – lodging options (some of which are bookable on points) that focus on putting travelers closer to nature, while providing at least some of the convenience, familiarity, and modern amenities many travelers are used to. On that list was Best Western, as the brand had just inked the Zion Wildflower Resort. Best Western has now doubled down and launched the WorldHotels Backdrop – a collection of immersive outdoor stays created for a slower, more intentional way of travel.
At present, Backdrop has one live location and two upcoming. They are the aforementioned Zion Wildflower:

And the upcoming Lodge at Pico Bonito in Honduras:

Located in La Ceiba, Honduras. ‘this rainforest lodge near Pico Bonito National Park gives adventurers exclusive access to jungle trails, hidden waterfalls and abundant wildlife in one of Central America’s most biodiverse landscapes.’
These properties are bookable with points – Best Western Rewards – which should make any immersive outdoor experience even more enjoyable.
