💡
Bilt’s April Rent promotion is a transfer bonus with three airlines – Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia – all of which use the Avios currency. If you’re a Bilt Platinum member you can transfer points with an 100% bonus.
On April 1 2025, you’ll receive up to a 100% transfer bonus on Bilt Rewards transfers to three Avios airlines – Aer Lingus, Iberia and British Airways. This transfer bonus is part of Bilt’s April Rent Day promotion. Interestingly, this Bilt offer comes the day after Chase’s transfer bonus with these same three airlines ends, though an 100% transfer bonus is much more lucrative than a 20% transfer bonus. Avios is the loyalty currency of Aer Lingus AerClub, British Airways Executive Club, and Iberia Plus and two other loyalty programs – Finnair Plus and Qatar Airways Privilege Club. As you can transfer Avios between these programs freely, this essentially is a transfer bonus from Bilt to all of the aforementioned airlines.
Transfer bonuses, if you’re unfamiliar with them, are promotions that incentivize you to exchange one point of currency for another. As one of the most versatile ‘bank points,’ Bilt Rewards can be transferred to 18 travel partners – 13 airline programs and 5 hotels programs. I’ve mentioned this before – I’m not the biggest champion of Bilt’s Rewards program. I’m have only 250 Bilt points to my name and am not a Bilt cardholder. The program has noticeably cut back on many of it’s high earning opportunities of its earlier years, amidst reports that the company was bleeding money. That said, a 100% bonus is a solid offer and if you’re sitting on a lot of Bilt points this could be a way to potentially reap outsized value by moving these points to one of the Avios carriers for one (or many) flight redemptions. Hefty transfer bonuses such as this one don’t come around often, so if you’re mulling a trip to Europe (or have your eyes on a Qatar Q suites journey) this could be your opportunity. Honestly, if you’ve got a ton of Bilt Rewards, you could very well transfer points to British Airways and then move them around as needed to book individual flights for an around the world trip. Ok, let’s jump into it.
The Details
As mentioned in the tl;dr, the amount of your transfer bonus is tied to your Bilt status. As I’m a lowly Bilt Blue member, I’m eligible for just a 50% transfer bonus. The tiers/bonus amounts are as follows:
- Bilt Blue Members – 50% Bonus
- Bilt Silver Members – 60% Bonus
- Bilt Gold Members – 75% Bonus
- Bilt Platinum Members – 100% Bonus

What are Some Good Uses of Avios?
Since Avios are used by five airlines there are a lot of options to redeem them for good value. Here are a couple:
For as little as 70,000 Avios, you can fly to Doha in Qatar Airways business class.
Recent Qatar partnerships with JetBlue mean that JetBlue’s Mint business class is available on transatlantic routes for as little as 78,000 Avios.

Conclusion
If you plan to take advantage of this 100% transfer bonus between Bilt and Aer Lingus, British Airways, or Iberia, you’ll have exactly one day to do so – April 1, 2025.

And remember Avios are freely transferrable amongst all airlines that use it as a currency.
