tl;dr – If a room comes equipped with these, I’m already smiling.
Sometimes in life, it’s the simple things. Case in point: Hotel rooms with direct charging ports, which enable you to simply plug your cord into the corresponding slot on the wall/desk/bed frame/wherever the slot may be, are extremely convenient.
I find that in the best of situations, these are well located, making it a tiny bit more convenient and less clunky to charge your phone/tablet without having to plug in the base or power block.
Where am I most delighted to find these wall slots? When traveling to any region where the wall outlets are different from those found in the Americas, it is important to bring an adapter. Not having to worry about a travel converter so you can then plug your charging block into an outlet (at least for charging your smaller personal devices) is optimal.
