tl;dr – Another route between the ‘Americas’ and Europe.
Aer Lingus recently launched direct service to Barbados. The Irish carrier will fly its Airbus A321XLR aircraft to the Caribbean island nation this spring.

Tickets went on sale this past Thursday (February 12), and the first departure for Bridgetown, Barbados, from Dublin will take place on March 31, 2026.

Though I prefer the beaches in other Caribbean countries to Barbados and the country tends to be a bit pricier than similar non-ultra-lux islands, there’s good food to be had, lots of opportunity for fun and sun, and if you are feeling festive, catching The Crop Over Festival (Barbados’ big carnival celebration) over the summer is a good move.
