tl;dr – There was a lot of drama surrounding this property.

The former (and ‘never-lived’) Thompson Miami Beach will soon reopen under a new name: Unframed, Autograph Collection.

The highly anticipated Thompson Miami Beach (planned for 17th Street and Washington Avenue) never opened under that brand. Scheduled for an October 2025 opening, the project lost its Hyatt affiliation shortly before its scheduled opening. The hotel, now settles into Marriott’s upscale soft-brand and will join Bonvoy, will debut April 1, 2026.

Located just a few blocks from the beach, the property features 149 guest rooms and suites.

There’s a rooftop bar and lounge, which has yet to be named, and the property also boasts a rooftop pool as well. There is, however, no gym.

For the hotel’s opening month, I spotted cash rates as low as $544 and points rates as low as 88,000 points per night.
