156-Room Ritz-Carlton Houston Will Feature the City’s Most Expensive Residence

Source: Marriott

tl;dr – The hotel is scheduled to debut in 2029.

Houston will welcome a new Ritz-Carlton property in 2029. The project, which includes an ambitious Ritz-Carlton Residences component, will be located in Houston’s Uptown-Galleria area. Recently, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences, Houston, laid claim to the city’s most expensive home sale – a $30 Million penthouse – one of the building’s only two full-floor residences, allegedly recently sold to a Houston-based businessman, though the sale won’t officially close until closer to the expected completion date for the development.

Amenities at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences, Houston will include a fitness center, a golf simulator, an indoor lap pool, an outdoor pool, a spa with saunas and plunge pools, and various outdoor spaces.

There’s no word yet, but my guess is there will be at least two marquee restaurants (if not more), and I wouldn’t be surprised if some local chefs are tapped to launch new culinary projects. Houston is an underrated food city, after all. I’ll post more about this as news becomes available.
