tl;dr – Ruin dates back to approximately 1266!
Located southeast of both Liverpool and Manchester (about 2 hours from each city), the Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club in Derbyshire, England, is the oldest Marriott property in the world.

Though the modern structure is from the 19th century, at the core of Breadsall Priory lies an Elizabethan mansion that remains almost entirely intact, situated atop the ruins of a 13th-century Priory. Breadsall Priory has a close association with the surrounding region, having been inhabited by several families over the centuries whose legacies can be found in the churches and churchyards of nearby villages.”

Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club offers 112 guests rooms and suites.

At present, the property is part of Marriott’s Delta Hotel portfolio and is a popular destination for weddings, golfing (there are two courses, an indoor virtual driving range, and an outdoor range). A spa and a fitness center as well.

There’s two onsite restaurants, and as this property is peak old-timey England, Afternoon Tea is served at the Tempo Bar.

The hotel, which also operates as a country club, is close to Peak District National Park, a great place for hiking.

It’s giving off a bit of the Langley, or IHG’s newest Noted Collection property.
