💡 Tl;dr – For a few more days, you can Wyndham Rewards points with up to an 80% bonus. Doing so can net you some foolishly good deals at well-reviewed properties.
Through April 20, 2025, you can purchase Choice Hotels Privileges Points with a 80% bonus. Note, the amount of your bonus is targeted, so you’ll want to sign into your Wyndham Rewards account to view what offer you’ve received. Most Wyndham Rewards are targeted for either a 70% or 80% bonus. If you’ve been rocking with me you know I’m a big advocate for finding value everywhere so it should come as no surprise that I spent some time diving into all that Wyndham has to offer. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts may be known to most for its economic accommodations – luxury probably isn’t the first thought that comes to mind – but the chain flies a bit under the radar when it comes to value plays, and folks really should pay more attention to the program. Specifically, if you’re a fan of all-inclusive stays, this sale presents a fantastic opportunity to snag a stay at an upscale resort for a very good price. So why all the talk about secrets, dreams and nightmares?

Shopping around and considering alternatives! Let’s say you were mulling dropping some World of Hyatt points to stay at an upper-tier all-inclusive property. One could make an strong argument that you could enjoy a comparably great vacation at similar property in Wyndham’s portfolio, and save those Hyatt points. True? Yes.
Ok, Let’s jump into it.
Key Terms of the Sale

- You’ll need to purchase at least 3,000 points to receive your targeted bonus.
- The bonus is assigned at random. Some folks may receive the 70% offer (as I have). Other members might receive an 80% bonus.
- Normally, you can purchase a 100,000 Wyndham points in a year, but that limit has been increased for this promotion to 200,000, before factoring any bonus point. So if you maxed out your purchase here (and were targeted for the 80% bonus) you could buy 360,0000 Wyndham Rewards points at a cost $2,600.00.
- Points purchases must be made by April 20, 2025.

What Are Some Good Uses of Wyndham Hotels Points?
Ah, we’re here. The fun part. Despite my penchant for identifying solid all-inclusive deals, I’m not too much of fan of the all-inclusive vibe myself. That said, I can’t ignore the value that can be had in one Wyndham brand in particular – The Registry Collection. The Registry Collection features a number of upscale all-inclusive properties, many of which are in the same popular destinations as similar properties from Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Barcelo, Bahia Principe, The Palace Company, etc. And as Wyndham redemption rates peak at 30K points per night at participating properties worldwide, including all-inclusive locations, you can purchase points (and immediately redeem them) for an all-inclusive stay for as cheap as ~$200 per night. For what it’s worth, there’s also the Wyndham Alltra collection, more affordable mid-tier all-inclusives, but if you’re seeking a more upscale experience, you likely want to stick to The Registry Collection options.
So let’s run a playtest, shall we? Many points and miles enthusiasts who are into the all-inclusive seen are also fans of Hyatt’s all-inclusive brands, namely Hyatt Ziva, Zilara, Secrets and Dreams. To illustrate the value here, I’ve identified two adults-only, well-reviewed properties, one from Wyndham’s Registry Collection, the other from Hyatt’s Secret brand, that are located fourteen minutes away in the Riviera Maya. Folks have said similarly great things about the food, service, rooms, and amenities at both properties.
We’re comparing four-night stays at the TRS Yucatan Riviera Maya, Adults Only – All Inclusive Resort,

and the Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya…

…for the same stretch of days, September 21 – 25, 2025. For transparency (and fairness), we’ll be booking into the same room type at each property, the base level junior suite.
Taking a look first at the TRS Yucatan Riviera Maya, Adults Only – All Inclusive Resort first, I see that cash rates are $328.13:

For a post-tax-and-fees total of $1588.16:

Now, let’s look at the points rate. It’ll cost an even 30,000 points per night for the TRS Yucatan Riviera Maya:

And we know that with this point sale, we can purchase the needed 120,000 points (for four-nights) at a cost of just $923.00!!! (If you’re targeted for the 80% bonus during this sale, this would be even cheaper, at $871.00).

Ok, what about the Secrets Akumal? Let’s start with cash rates. The cheapest rate (which I might add requires advance purchase and includes a stricter cancellation policy) is $423/night for a post-tax total of $1692:

Though, Hyatt’s latest points sale recently ended, if I had purchased the maximum amount of points available during the 25% discount sale, I would have ended up with 55,000 World of Hyatt points at a cost of $1072.50.

Those 55,000 points are only enough two nights at this property on points, and frankly, the decision to redeem them for this Secrets property isn’t even a good deal, as again, the total cash rate for all four nights is $1,692.

And there’s a real opportunity cost to those Hyatt points right? Here are all the properties worldwide, non all-inclusive and all-inclusive that’ll cost you 25,000 points per night. (And of course you could redeem less than 25,000 points at a multitude of cheaper properties.) Perhaps you’re headed to Europe later this year (or early 2026) – those 25,000 points per night could do some serious damage at the Park Hyatt Vienna, right?
One can see how this math can also compound if you’re choosing between two family-friendly resorts in a situation where you’d need two (or more) rooms. As members can only purchase 55,000 World of Hyatt points annually, you might have a tough time getting enough points together if you don’t have a stash of Ultimate Rewards or Bilt points.
How I’d call it? Pay the $923 (or $871) and kick back at the TRS Yucatan Riviera Maya.

Conclusion
When it comes to playing the points and miles game, I’m often chirping about overturning every rock to find the best values each programs has to offer. Well, Wyndham’s latest point sale (Through April 20th, 2025) presents members with a great opportunity to snap up solid deals on upscale all-inclusive stays. These redemption options become especially attractive when compared to similar resorts from Hyatt, that will cost you a good more in World of Hyatt points. Keep these options on your radar and hit the comments if you have (or plan to) mess around with the Registry Collection.
